Minutes of a Public Meeting of Council for The Corporation of the Township of North Frontenac Held August 17, 2023 in the Council Chambers, 6648 Road 506, Plevna, Ontario
Present:
Mayor Gerry Lichty; Councillor Wayne Good and
Councillor Stephanie Regent - Ward 1; Councillor Roy
Huetl and Councillor Vernon Hermer - Ward 2; Deputy
Mayor John Inglis and Councillor Fred Fowler - Ward 3
Also Present:
Corey Klatt, Chief Administrative Officer (CAO); Kelly
Watkins, Treasurer (CAO Back-up); Tara Mieske, Clerk/
Planning Manager (CPM); Brooke Hawley, Manager of
Community Development (MCD); and Darwyn Sproule,
Public Works Manager (PWM)
Call to Order; Purpose of Meeting; and Chair’s Opening Remarks The Mayor called the meeting to order at 5:00 p.m. and read the opening remarks. The purpose of the meeting is to consider an amendment to the Fees and Charges By-law, specifically to include a fee for Scenic Route and Historic Signage.
Approval of Agenda

Resolution #: 332-23 Moved By: Seconded By: Councillor Fowler Councillor Hermer Be It Resolved That Council approves the Agenda for the Public Meeting regarding Amendments to the Fees and Charges By-law dated August 17, 2023, as circulated. Carried
Disclosure of Pecuniary Interest and General Nature Thereof None declared.
Amendment to Fees and Charges By-law
a) Resolution #323-23: Scenic Route and Historic Loop Signage Sponsorship
Resolution #: 333-23 Moved By: Seconded By: Councillor Hermer Councillor Fowler Whereas Council passed Resolution #323-23 receiving for information the Manager of Community Development’s Administrative Report entitled “Scenic Route and Historic Loop Signage Sponsorship" and approving in principle an amendment to the Fees and Charges By-law; Page 1 of 2
Township of North Frontenac Public Council Meeting Minutes August 17, 2023 And That Council will receive comments from the public regarding the proposed amendment; And That Council will consider a By-law to amend the Fees and Charges By-law later at the Regular meeting. Carried
