TRAILS ADVISORY COMMITTEE MINUTES March 16, 2015 A meeting of the Trails Advisory Committee (TAC) was held in the South Frontenac Council chambers at in Sydenham on Monday, March 16, 2015 at 1:00 pm. Present: Joan Hollywood Dieter Eberhardt Gary Davison Councillor John McDougall, Council Liaison Councillor Denis Doyle Councillor Tom Dewey Robert Clinton Ross Sutherland Lucas Wales Staff Present: Anne Marie Young, Manager of Economic Development 1.

Call to order In the absence of a chair, Ms. Young called the meeting to order at 1:04 pm and called for nominations for Chair.

Adoption of the agenda

THAT the agenda for the March 16, 2015 Trails Advisory Committee meeting be adopted noting that Committee Orientation under item 7 will be postponed until next meeting. CARRIED 4.

Disclosure of pecuniary interest and general nature thereof

The Chair requested the recording secretary to record that in accordance with the Municipal Conflict of Interest Act no disclosures of pecuniary interest were declared. 5.

Trails Advisory Committee Meeting Minutes March 16, 2015 – 1:00 pm

To be presented by Jannette Amini, Manager of Legislative Services/Clerk Postponed. 2015-034 Trails Advisory Committee 2015 Work Plan Update Ms. Young reviewed the work plan to date and gave the committee the background and current status of the development of the K&P to Fish Creek Road. Councillor McDougall asked about any marketing efforts and perhaps it could be added to the work plan for the committee to work on and suggested a working committee. Mr. Wales felt it would be good to create packages for the K&P and other trails in Frontenac. This report is for information purposes only and is attached as Appendix A. 8.

Other business

Discussion ensued around what other trails in the County could benefit through partnerships. The committee felt the enhancements such as gravel and stone dust to the Cataraqui Trail was an important factor to pursue. Moved By: Seconded By:

THAT staff contact the CRCA to inquire if there are plans to upgrade the Cataraqui Trail between Sydenham and Harrowsmith and how the County could partner to assist in furthering possible redevelopment. CARRIED

Next meeting date The next Trails Advisory Committee meeting will be held Monday, May 11 at 10 am at the County office.
