150th Anniversary Advisory Committee (AAC) Work Plan Centennial Park Site Visit The committee discussed the park map and tent handouts. Staff and Event Coordinators will continue to work with South Frontenac Township staff to ensure the park set up meets all requirements. A notice should be placed on the mailboxes within the park ahead of time to alert mailbox owners that access will be limited during the weekend. Committee members discussed some details around the plowing match. As mayor of the host municipality, Mayor Ron Vandewal should be invited to speak during the Opening Ceremony. Mr. Leonard will perform official MC duties during the Opening Ceremony. Mr. Leonard told the committee that there is a possibility Prime Minister Stephen Harper may appear at the opening ceremony.

150th Anniversary Planning Advisory Committee Finalization of August Showcase
Recommendation This Report is for information purposes only. Background The County of Frontenac’s 150th Anniversary Year has arrived! Tasked with providing suitable community-wide celebrations for the anniversary, the 150th Anniversary Planning Advisory Committee will continue to meet bi-monthly through 2015 to finalize preparations. Comment
- Site Plan County staff and event organizers are working closely with South Frontenac Township staff to ensure all details of the site plan comply with all regulations and requirements. A detailed park map is attached to the agenda.
- Volunteers Volunteers are needed to ensure the weekend is a success. A number have already been recruited, but more are needed. Committee members can direct interested volunteers to register by contacting Dan Bell and/or Pam Morey.
- Heritage Costume Ball Committee members are asked to bring their unsold Heritage Costume Ball tickets to the August 11th meeting, along with any revenue from sold tickets. We will take this opportunity to check progress, redistribute unsold tickets and discuss strategies moving forward.
