2025 Budget Project Proposal Planning & Economic Development Population, Housing, and Employment Projections
Background • County-wide projections were last completed in 2019/2020, using 2016 Census data • Projections cover population, housing, and employment for the region • Permanent and seasonal projections by Township

Rationale • Projections are the foundation for community planning and economic development • Projections should be updated every five years; last budget request was in 2018, with final report completed in January 2020 • 2021 Census – updated data • Significant changes in growth, building, and consumer habits since the COVID-19 pandemic
