Especially in the Portland District area. The area would be Hartington. Number one it stops all lot severances for residential building. The second issue is that if this goes ahead It takes away any chances of mega solar pannels systems as the Ministry of energy will not support the program. The Ministry of energy buys the electricity from the Solar Panels. I tried to resolve the issues within the township however I was denied the right to speak at the April 3rd council meeting. I have 60% of the land owners in the Portland District against the primary agriculture zoning And I still do All we were asking, and we are still asking mainly myself is to leave the zoning as is zoning is rural residential. The tax bill says FTEP and RTEP Bill 97 passed in July 23rd 2025 It clearly overrides all municipal zonings MZO Please have county council read the bill 97 Again I woukd ask kindly to leave the zoning as it has been since 2003 it was put in place back then to build more houses to the best of my knowledge As we are aware, the Ontario government wants 1.5 million homes by 2031. So let’s help the cause and keep our present zoning Thank you Steven Leonard
