Background County Council endorsed the investment in green initiatives when it considered the allocation of the Investing in Ontario Funds.
Comment The consulting firm of Pukaskwa Solar Energy Design Build was contracted to assist with the specification development for the RFP, which was undertaken in collaboration with the Green Energy Task Force. Details of the RFP process are provided below: The deadline for submitting a response to the RFP was September 30, 2010 at 3pm. There were no late submissions. A total of six (6) firms submitted a response to the RFP document. Technical details of each firm’s proposal were submitted, along with costs associated with delivering the proposal. After a detailed evaluation of the proposals, it was determined that Evergreen Power was the successful proponent.
Financial Implications The Palace Road Solar Panel Project was included in the 2011 Budget and the total costs are anticipated to fall within the budget allocation.
