Recommendations from the Curriculum Committee to the Leadership Team November 20, 2019    

Recommend to change to quarterly meetings. For 2020: Wednesday, March 16, June 17, September 16 and December 16, 2020, 2 to 4 p.m. Change format from single chair and co-chair to teams Four teams made up of one director and four others

Suggestion on how the teams can be formed: o There are two pots with names: Mandatory and Other  Mandatory: All seconded members plus all leadership team members who did not present in the previous year  Other: All other members of the leadership team  The CAO, Director of Corporate Services/Treasurer, Director of Planning, Chief Paramedic, Fairmount Administrator are exempt from the pots. However, the Director of Corporate Services/Treasurer, Director of Planning, Chief Paramedic and Fairmount Administrator will have each have an advisory role with one of the four teams o All names are drawn from the Mandatory pot by the Team Advisors, assigning those members to their teams o Once there are no names left in the Mandatory pot, names from the other pot will be drawn to round out the teams until there are four members (not including the advisors) on each team.

Segments for each meeting:

  1. Highlights and success stories from the past quarter prepared by the hosting team. Have this at the start of the meeting. Five minutes
  2. Review one of the cards on Civility in the Workplace (Bar-David Consulting). Five minutes
  3. Host teams encouraged to highlight new technology and innovation. Perhaps a new app. Perhaps a new informative website. Perhaps a new piece of equipment. Perhaps a book recommendation. Perhaps highlighting a handy feature on smart phone. Five minutes.
