Economic Development Task Force Minutes 10:00 AM - Monday, November 17, 2025 Council Chambers

Councillor John Inglis (Chair); Deputy Mayor Roy Huetl; Paul Thiel and
Betty Hunter
Absent with Regret:
Cyndy Bonello, Dan Vaillancourt and Brandon Hartwig.
Also Present:
Brooke Ross, Dipl.M.A., Manager of Community Development (MCD);
Richard Allen, Manager of Economic Development (County of
Frontenac); Sonya Bolton, Manager of Community Planning (County Of
Frontenac) and Lori Newman (Secretary)
Call to Order The meeting was called to order by the Chair at 10:00 a.m.

Economic Development Task Force Notes
Business Arising
a) Murals - location of Mural at Township Office
The EDTF discussed the relocation of the Tornado Alley mural from the Township Office to the Plevna Waste site. The MCD will have this completed.
b) Draft Admin Report – 2026 SummerFest – Increase Funding Request
The EDTF reviewed and approved the Draft Administrative Report that will be submitted in the 2026 Budget deliberations in order to request increased funding for the 2026 Summerfest budget.
New Business
a) Community Improvement Plan – Framework for Proposed Amendments
As previously approved to discuss potential changes to the Township’s Community Improvement Plan, Sonya Bolton, Manager of Community Planning, County of Frontenac and Richard Allen, Manager of Economic Development, County of Frontenac were invited Page 1 of 2

to today’s EDTF Meeting. Sonya presented a report that was created in collaboration with Brooke Ross (MCD) framing the changes/revisions that were proposed by the EDTF to the CIP document.The EDTF reviewed and discussed the document and Sonya will work with the MCD to make additional changes/amendments to the document and come back with a final draft to the January 19, 2026 EDTF meeting for discussion. The EDTF thanked Sonya for attending today’s meeting.
b) 2026 Meeting Dates
The EDTF set the following meeting dates for 2026:

NOTE : The next meeting of the EDTF will take place on Monday, December 15, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at the Municipal Council Chambers located at 6648 Road 506, Plevna.
