[image] Minutes of a Special Meeting of C The Corporation of the Township of N Held February 7, 2023 in the Council Chambers, 66 Present: Mayor Gerry Lichty; Counc Councillor Vernon Hermer Ward 2; Councillor Fred Fo Absent with Regret: Councillor Stephanie Rege Huetl - Ward 2; and Deput Also Present: Corey Klatt, Chief Adminis Mieske, Clerk/ Planning M Korhonen, Director of Eme (DESFC) 1. Call to Order and Purpose of Meeting The Mayor called the meeting to order at 9:00 a.m. The purpose of the meeting is training and education for Council Members regarding the Essentials of Municipal Fire Protection. 2. Chair’s Opening Remarks None. 3. Approval of Agenda a) Approval of the Agenda the Special Meetin Resolution #: 70-23 Moved By: Seconded By: Councillor Go Councillor Fo Be It Resolved That Council approves the Agenda for the Special Meeting of Council dated February 7, 2023, as circulated. Carried 4. Disclosure of Pecuniary Interest and Genera None declared. 5. Closed Session a) Closed Meeting of Council Resolution #: 71-23 Moved By: Seconded By: Councillor Go Councillor Fo Be It Resolved That Council retires to Closed Session at 9:00 a.m. for the purpose of educating and training Council members regarding the Essentials of Municipal Fire Protection. Carried 6. Return to Open Session a) Return to Open Session Resolution #: 72-23 Moved By: Seconded By: Councillor Go Councillor Fo Be It Resolved That Council returned to Open Session at 10:54 a.m. Carried 7. Rise and Report (Overview of the Closed Ses Officer) The Mayor advised that, during the Closed Session, Council received education regarding the Essentials of Municipal Fire Protection, specifically for Municipal Decision Makers. 8. Confirmatory By-law a) Confirming By-law #14-23 Resolution #: 73-23 Moved By: Seconded By: Councillor Go Councillor Fo Be It Resolved That By-law # 14-23 being a By-law to confirm all actions and proceedings of Council for its Special Meeting held February 7, 2023 be read a first, second, and third time and finally passed. Carried 9. Adjournment a) Adjournment of Council Meeting Resolution #: 74-23 Moved By: Seconded By: Councillor Go Councillor Fo Be It Resolved That Council adjourns the Meeting at 10:55 a.m. until February 16, 2023, or at the call of the Chair.
