Call to Order The Deputy Mayor called the meeting to order at 9:18 a.m. 2. Chair’s Opening Remarks a) See attached opening remarks. Opening Remarks - Fees and Charges 3. Approval of Agenda a) June 17, 2022 Resolution #: 240-22 Moved By: Seconded By: Councillor He Councillor Fo Be It Resolved That Council approves the Agenda for the Public Meeting regarding Amendments to the Fees and Charges By-law re: Proposed Branded Material, dated June 17, 2022, as circulated. Carried 4. Disclosure of Pecuniary Interest and Genera None declared. 5. Fees and Charges By-law - Township Brande a) Resolution #213-22 - Proposed Branded M 6. Public Comments and Questions There were no comments from the public 7. Council Comments and Questions Deputy Mayor Martin asked if the hats with the Township logo currently available for purchase at the Township Office would be included in the Branded Merchandise. Brooke Hawley, Manager of Community Development (MCD) advised the hats were donated to the Township, with specific provisions regarding cost and sourcing. She noted hats will be added to the Branded Merchandise when the current stock has been sold. Councillor Inglis noted the hats were sourced from a Canadian Manufacturer. The MCD advised Canadian made products are the first choice; however some items are difficult to find. Councillor Fowler asked what logo would be used on the Branded Merchandise. The MCD advised the logo would be the Parklands logo or the Council approved logo with the leaf. Mayor Higgins suggested the sourcing process should be Canadian made first, followed by American, then European made. Resolution #: 241-22 Moved By: Seconded By: Councillor Fo Councillor He Be It Resolved That Council receives for information Resolution #213-22 and the Manager of Community Development’s Administrative Report regarding amending the Fees & Charges By- Law; And That Council will consider a By-Law to amend the Fees & Charges By-law later today at the Regular Council meeting; And That merchandise be sourced first from Canada; then North America; and if not available other places be considered. Carried 8.
