Minutes of a Special Meeting of Council re: Purchase of Multi-Lift Truck
for The Corporation of the Township of North Frontenac
Held June 9, 2022 in the Council Chambers, 6648 Road 506, Plevna, Ontario
Present:
Mayor Ron Higgins; Councillor Wayne Good (Electronic
Participation) - Ward 1; Deputy Mayor Gerry Martin and
Councillor Vernon Hermer - Ward 2; Councillor Fred
Fowler (Electronic Participation) and Councillor John
Inglis - Ward 3
Absent with Regret:
Councillor Fred Perry - Ward 1.
Also Present:
Tara Mieske, Clerk/ Planning Manager (CPM);
Darwyn Sproule, Public Works Manager (PWM)
(Electronic Participation); and Kelly Watkins, Treasurer
Call to Order and Purpose of Meeting The Mayor called the meeting to order at 9:30 a.m. and advised the purpose of the meeting is to discuss the purchase of a Multi-Lift Truck.
Approval of Agenda

a) Public Works Manager - Proposed Purchase of Multi-Lift Truck for Waste and Recycling
Resolution #: 233-22 Moved By: Seconded By: Councillor Hermer Deputy Mayor Martin Be It Resolved That Council receives for information the Public Works Managers Administrative Report entitled “Proposed Emergency Purchase of Multi-Lift Truck for Waste and Recycling; Page 1 of 2
Township of North Frontenac Special Council Minutes June 9, 2022 And That Council approves the single source purchase of the truck based on the quote of $246,800 plus tax and licensing; And That Council directs the Treasurer to take the additional cost from the Roads Sustainability Reserve Fund. Carried
