Minutes of a Special Meeting of Council for The Corporation of the Township of North Frontenac Held March 13, 2023 in the Council Chambers, 6648 Road 506, Plevna, Ontario
Present: Mayor Gerry Lichty; Councillor Wayne Good (Electronic Participation) - Ward 1; Councillor Roy Huetl (Electronic Participation) and Councillor Vernon Hermer - Ward 2; and Councillor Fred Fowler - Ward 3 Absent with Regret: Councillor Stephanie Regent - Ward 1; and Deputy Mayor John Inglis - Ward 2 Also Present: Corey Klatt, Chief Administrative Officer (CAO); Kelly Watkins, CAO Back-up / Treasurer; Brooke Drechsler, Deputy Clerk/Assistant to the Planning Manager; and Brooke Hawley, Manager of Community Development (MCD)
Call to Order and Purpose of Meeting The Mayor called the meeting to order at 9:12 a.m. The purpose of the meeting is to discuss information provided by the Province which was supplied in confidence.
Chair’s Opening Remarks None.
Approval of Agenda
a) March 13, 2023
Resolution #: 119-23 Moved By: Seconded By: Councillor Hermer Councillor Fowler Be It Resolved That Council approves the Agenda for the Special Meeting of Council dated March 13, 2023, as circulated. Carried
Disclosure of Pecuniary Interest and General Nature Thereof None declared.
Closed Session

Township of North Frontenac Special Council Minutes March 13, 2023 Seconded By: Councillor Hermer Be It Resolved That Council retires to Closed Session at 9:13 a.m. to discuss information explicitly supplied in confidence to the municipality or local board by Canada, a province or territory or a Crown agency of any of them. Carried
b) Open Session
Resolution #: 121-23 Moved By: Seconded By: Councillor Hermer Councillor Fowler Be It Resolved That Council returns to Open Session at 9:21 a.m. Carried
Rise and Report (Overview of the Closed Session by the Presiding Officer) The Mayor advised that Council discussed information provided by the Province and provided direction to Township staff.
