TOWNSHIP OF SOUTH FRONTENAC BY-LAW 2011-15
Being a by-law to stop up, close and sell a portion of an untravelled Township Road in lots 1 & 2, concession 16, District of Bedford
WHEREAS the Corporation of the Township of South Frontenac may pass a By-law to stop up and sell any highway or part thereof pursuant to the Municipal Act, Section 34(1) AND WHEREAS Council is acting to finalize an agreement made between Allan Bonwill, the previous owner of the property on which a portion of the old road is located, and the
former Township of Bedford, to transfer to Mr. Bonwill the abandoned portion of the road;
AND WHEREAS the said road is not used as a travelled road and is not maintained by the municipality;
NOW THEREFORE the Council of the Township of South Frontenac enacts as follows:
- That the portion of a Township Road in lots 1 & 2, in concession 16, in the former Township of Bedford, now in the Township of South Frontenac, being part 2 on Plan 13R- 20102 shall be stopped up and closed;
- That the said road after being stopped up and completely closed shall be sold to the owner of the abutting property (parts 1 & 3,13R-20102);
That the Mayor and Clerk/Administrator are hereby authorized and directed to execute such documents as are required;
That this By-law shall come into force and take effect upon registration of this By-law.
