TOWNSHIP OF SOUTH_FRONTENAC BY-LAW 2013-08
Being a by-law to stop up and close Unopened Road Allowance -
being part of John St., Plan 77, Settlement Area of Harrowsmith,
District of Portland
WHEREAS South Frontenac Township Council has given approval in principle to close a portion of the unopened road identified as John Street in Plan 77, Harrowsmith, District of Portland, Township of South Fronfenac
AND WHEREAS the Corporation of the Township of South Frontenac may pass a By-
law to stop up and sell any highway or part thereof pursuant to the Municipal Act,
Section 34(1)
AND WHEREAS the said street is not used as a publicly travelled road;
AND WHEREAS no objections have been received to the road closing; NOW THEREFORE the Council of the Township of South Frontenac enacts as follows:
That the portion of the original street known as John St, plan 77, Settlement Area of Harrowsmith in the former Township of Portland, now in the Township of South Frontenac, being parts 1 & 3 on Plan 13R- 20580 shall be stopped up and closed and transferred to the owner of 3947 Harrowsmith Church Street (Hole);
That the Mayor and Clerk/Administrator are hereby authorized and directed to execute such documents as are required;
That this By-law shall replace By-law 2013-05 and shall come into force and
take effect upon registration of the By-law.
