SOUTH FRONTENAC TOWNSHIP BY-LAW2017-71 A BY-LAWTO APPOINTAN ACTING CHIEF BUILDINGOFFICIALAND ZONINGADMINISTRATOR. WHEREAS Section 3 (1) of the Building Code Act, R. S. 0. 1990, Chapter B. 13 as amended, provides that the Council of each municipality is responsible for the enforcement of the Building Code Act in the municipality; and,
WHEREASSection 3(2) ofthe Building Code Act, R.S.O. 1990, Chapter B. 13, as amended, requires that the Council of each municipality shall appoint a Chief Building Official;
NOWTHEREFORETHE CORPORATIONOF THE TOWNSHIPOF SOUTH FRONTENAC, BY ITS COUNCIL, HEREBYENACTSAS FOLLOWS:
Shawn Merriman is hereby appointed as Acting Chief Building Official for the Township of South Frontenac.
Shawn Merriman is hereby authorized bythe Council to carry out the duties of Chief Building Official as set out in the Building Code Act.
Shawn Merriman is hereby appointed as acting ZoningAdministrator for the purpose of interpreting and administrating the zoning by-laws of the municipality.
In addition to those duties as set out in paragraph 2 and 3 ofthis by-law, the ChiefBuilding Officialshall perform such otherduties as may be prescribed by Council from time to time.
Shawn Merriman shall hold office at the pleasure of the Council of the Township of South Frontenac, and shall be paid in the manner as set out by Council resolution from time to time.
All other by-laws, resolutions or action of Council that are not consistent
with or which are contrary to the provisions of this by-law are hereby repealed.
This by-lawshall come into force and take effect on November 10, 201 7
