TOWNSHIP OF SOUTH FRONTENAC BY-LAW2021-64 BEINGA BY-LAWTO AUTHORIZETHE USE OF ALTERNATIVEVOTING METHODS FOR THE 2022 MUNICIPAL ELECTION Whereas Section 42 (1) (b) of the Municipal Elections Act, S. O. 1996, c. 32, as
amended, provides that a municipal council may pass a by-law authorizing electors to use an alternative voting method that does not require electors to attend at a voting place in order to vote;
And Whereas Section 42(2) of the Municipal Elections Act, S. O 1996, c. 32 as
amended requires a By-law under Section 42 (1) be passed by May 1, 2022 to be effective for the municipal election to be held in 2022;
Now Therefore the Council of the Corporation of the Township of South Frontenac enacts as follows:

Internet/Telephone Voting is authorized to be used as an alternative voting method for the municipal election to be in October 2022.
