TOWNSHIP OF SOUTH FRONTENAC BY-LAW2022-09
A BY-LAW TO APPOINT AN INTERIM CHIEF ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER
WHEREAS Section 228 ofthe Municipal Act, S.O. 2001 c. 25, provides that Council
shall establish such policies and procedures it determines necessary to carry outthe programs of the Municipality; and
WHEREAS Section 229 ofthe Municipal Act, S.O. 2001, c. 25 and amendments
thereto, provides that Council may appoint a ChiefAdministrative Officer;
ANDWHEREAS Neil Carbone, current ChiefAdministrative Officer/Deputy Clerk for theTownship hasserved noticeofhisresignation effective February25, 2022; NOW THEREFORE THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWNSHIP OF SOUTH FRONTENAC, BY ITS COUNCIL,HEREBYENACTSAS FOLLOWS: 1.
That, Louise Fragnito be, and is hereby, appointed as Interim Chief
Administrative Officerand Deputy Clerk forthe Township ofSouth Frontenac effective Febmary 1, 2022 and for an indefinite period, subject to the terms of an employment contract addendum dated January 12, 2022. 2.
That,LouiseFragnitobe,andisherebyinstructedtocarryoutthestatutory duties of ChiefAdministrative Officerand Deputy Clerk as set out in the Municipal Act and all other relevant provincial legislation.
That, in addition to the statutory duties outlined in paragraph 2 above, the ChiefAdministrative Officer- Deputy Clerk shall perform the duties outlined in
the Role Description attached hereto and such otherduties as may be prescribed by Council from time to time.
That, Louise Fragnito shall hold office at the pleasure of the Council ofthe
TownshipofSouth Frontenacsubjectto theterms ofan employment contract addendum dated January 12, 2022. 5.
That, Nell Carbone shall remain employed under the same terms of his
en9agement, asAdvisorto the ChiefAdministrative OfficerfortheTownshipof South Frontenac until hisdeparture on February25, 2022. 6.
That all other by-laws, resolutions or actions ofCouncil that are not consistent
withorwhicharecontrarytotheprovisionsofthisby-lawareherebyrepealed. 7.
Thatthis by-lawshall come into force and take effect on January25, 2022.
