A By-Law to Appoint a Building Inspector ———————————
Whereas Section 3 (1) of the Building Code Act, 1992 SO. 1992 c. 23, as amended, provides that the Council of each municipality is responsible for the enforcement of the Building Code Act in the municipality; and, Whereas Section 3 (2) of the Building Code Act, 1992 8.0. 1992 c. 23, as amended, requires that the Council of each municipality shall appoint a Chief Building Official and such inspectors as are necessary for the enforcement of this Act in the areas in which the municipality has jurisdiction;
Therefore Be It Resolved That the Council of the Corporation of the Township of South Frontenac hereby enacts as follows:
- Shawn Duce hereby appointed as Building inspector for the Township of South Frontenac effective June 18th,2024.
- Shawn Duce is hereby authorized by the Council to carry out the duties of a Building Inspector as set out in the Building Code Act effective June 18, 2024.
- This By-Iaw shall come into force and take effect on June 18, 2024.
