The Mayor called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. 2. Declaration of Pecuniary Interest - NU 3.

Rachelle Hardesty, Land 0’ Lakes Tourist Association

Rachelle Hardesty provided Council with an overview of the activities at the Tourist Association including progress in getting their Guide online. Other activities include: .

Steps to increase media awareness by hosting some “outdoor” television shows.

The introduction of associate memberships for the 5,000 Lakes, 5,000 Adventures Campaign.

.

The Golf Tournament scheduled for September 6 ,2012

Angela Maddocks, Recreation Coordinator, Playground Equipment Funding Policy

Council is supportive of the version of the Playground Equipment Funding Policy as presented. /

(ii) Lindsay Mills, Planning Coordinator, Changes to the Township of South Frontenac Official Plan: Condominium Road Standards

Direction from Council was not to proceed with the condominium provision for common elements as suggested by the consultant and to maintain minimum Private Lane Standards, or better, at the discretion of Council.

(iii) Lindsay Mills, Planning Coordinator, Appeals to Ontario Municipal Board; Costs to Defend Committee/Council’s Decision to Support Applications Direction from Council was to proceed with implementing the indemmfication. However, the language on the form is to be modified with provision for collection of the costs through property taxes. As well an implementation date is to be brought forward to Council for approval.

(iii) Letter from Alan Revill to South Frontenac Council

(iv) Councillor Vandewal advised Council and tendered a written resignation from the

Cataraqui Conservation Authority Committee appointment. Councillor Stowe has indicated an interest in serving on this Committee. The appointment will be

brought forward to the next Council meeting. (V)

Councillor Naish brought forward his interest in serving as the political lead for Economic Development. He and the CAO are to meet to draft the scope of this

role and to present it back to Council. 6.
