The Mayor called the meeting to order at 7:00pm

Delegations

a)

Greg Newman, re: Matias Subdivision - Inverary Mr. Newman reviewed a power point presentation on the proposed Matias Subdivision. Council expressed concern that the EP zoned land not be orphaned but that it be attached to some other parcel. Concern about backyards facing Perth Road seem to be resolved as long as plantings are of a significant size. Citizen concerns about privacy from lots 6, 7 and 8 remain. The Mayor thanked Mr. Newman for his presentation.

a)

Wayne Orr, Chief Administrative Officer, re: 2014 Municipal Elections Compliance Audit Committee Council directed the CAO to recruit for a compliance audit committee and to bring forward a recommendation for appointment

b)

Wayne Orr, Chief Administrative Officer, re: Alternate Office Hours Council endorsed the proposal to introduce alternate hours for office staff on a trial basis.

c)

Wayne Orr, Chief Administrative Officer, re: Perth Road Fire Hall (Station 6) Next Steps Council directed staff to proceed with issuing an RFP for professional services to develop a functional plan, minimum space requirements, conceptual design and cost estimates for a replacement fire hall.

a)

Architects for Sydenham Library have recently been awarded a Governor General’s Award for Architecture for a Toronto Library expansion project.

b)

The Public Services Committee has been asked to review the recent flooding experience for lessons learned.

c)

Questions on the tax sale process were addressed with respect to the current list of properties up for sale.
