Minutes of a Special Meeting of Council for The Corporation of the Township of North Frontenac Held September 6, 2023 in the Council Chambers, 6648 Road 506, Plevna, Ontario
Present: Mayor Gerry Lichty (Electronic Participation; Councillor Wayne Good and Councillor Stephanie Regent (Electronic Participation) - Ward 1; Councillor Roy Huetl and Councillor Vernon Hermer - Ward 2; Deputy Mayor John Inglis and Councillor Fred Fowler - Ward 3 Also Present: Corey Klatt, Chief Administrative Officer (CAO); Kelly Watkins, CAO Back-up / Treasurer; Brooke Drechsler, Deputy Clerk/Assistant to the Planning Manager (CPM); Eric Korhonen, Director of Emergency Services/Fire Chief (DESFC); and Steve Lichty, Capital Consultants
Call to Order; Purpose of Meeting; and Chair’s Opening Remarks The Mayor called the Special Meeting regarding the Strategic Plan to order at 9:20 a.m. and read the Opening Remarks.

a) CAO and Treasurer Administrative Report: 2023 Council Strategic Planning

Township of North Frontenac Special Council Minutes September 6, 2023 Be It ResolvedThat Council receives for information the Chief Administrative Officer and Treasurers Administrative Report entitled “2023 Council Strategic Planning”; And That Council approves the following Focus Group categories to be contacted by the Consultants/Staff:
North Frontenac Lake/Land Owners Associations;
Community Hall Groups;
Businesses;
Parent Council from Clarendon Central Public School, North Addington Education Centre, and Granite Ridge Education Centre (that represent North Frontenac residents) to capture family demographics;
Seniors Demographic; and
Indigenous Group(s) And That Council approves the Community Survey as amended to include a question specific to Roads; and a question specific to Emergency Services; And That Council instructs the Treasurer to transfer the additional expense of the Strategic Plan Consulting at an estimated $350 from the Contingency Reserve Fund; And That the next Strategic Planning session will be held on September 26, 2023. Carried
