TOWNSHIP OF SOUTH FRONTENAC BY-LAW2018-50
BEING A BY-LAW TO ENGAGE THE SERVICES OF AND APPOINT AN INTEGRITY
COMMISSIONERFORTHE CORPORATIONOFTHE TOWNSHIPOFSOUTH FRONTENAC
Whereas, byMarch 1,2019,the MunicipalAct, requires all municipalities in Ontarioto appoint an IntegrityCommissioner whose powersanddutiesareout inthe’. MunicipalAct, 2001;
AndWhereas,anIntegrityCommissionerisresponsibleforperforminginanindependent manner the functions assigned bythe municipality;
Now Therefore Be It Resolved That the Council ofthe Corporation ofthe Township of South Frontenac enacts as follows:
ThatAird Beriis through its lead John Mascarin be engaged to assist with the orientation ofthe newCouncil, the development ofa common Council Code of Conduct, a Council-Staff"
Relations policy: lnte?rity Commissioner Complaint Policyand anyother policies/procedures,
governing the ethical behavior of members of council and local boards.
And that such tasks be undertaken with Council well in advance ofthe March 1, 2019 deadline.
