TOWNSHIP OF SOUTH FRONTENAC BY-LAW2019-72 A BY-LAW TO AUTHORIZE THE EXECUTION OF AN AGREEMENT FOR THE PROVISION OF POLICE SERVICES UNDER SECTION 10 OF THE POLICE SERVICES ACT WITH HER MAJESTY THE QUEEN IN RIGHT OF ONTARIO AS REPRESENTED BY THE SOLICITOR GENERAL WHEREAS the Council of the Township of South Frontenac did enter into an agreement with the Her Majesty the Queen in Right of Ontario as represented by the Minister of Community Safety and Correctional Services on April 1st, 2008 for the provision of Police Services in accordance with Section 10 of the Police Services Act;

AND WHEREAS pursuant to Section 29 of the Agreement, each party may amend the Agreement by written Agreement;

AND WHEREAS the Parties amended the Agreement by extending the Agreement with the Solicitor General;

AND WHEREAS it is deemed necessary to now authorize the execution of a new Agreement.

NOW THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF THE TOWNSHIP of SOUTH FRONTENAC HEREBY ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:

  1. THAT the Corporation of the Township of South Frontenac authonzes a new Agreement with the Solicitor General, as outlined in Schedule “A”

attached to and forming part of this By-law

  1. THAT the term of such new agreement shall be for a period of 6 years from January 1, 2020 to December 31, 2025

  2. THATthe MayorandChiefAdministrativeOfficerareherebyauthorizedto execute on behalfofthe the Township of South Frontenac, the Agreement with Her Majesty the Queen in Right of Ontario as represented by the Solicitor General.
