TOWNSHIP OF SOUTH FRONTENAC BY-LAW 2021-54 A BY-LAW TO CONFIRM GENERALLY ALL ACTIONS AND PROCEEDINGS OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWNSHIP OF SOUTH FRONTENAC ON SEPTEMBER 21, 2021
Whereas Section 8 ofthe Municipal Act, 8.0. 2001 c. 25 and amendments thereto
provides that a municipality has the capacity, rights powers and privileges of a natural
personforthe purpose ofexercising itsauthority underthe MunicipalActofanyother Act; and;
Whereas Subsection 2 of Section 11 ofthe Municipal ActS.O. 2001, c. 25 and amendments thereto provides that a lower-tier municipality and an upper-tier
municpaitymay passby-laws respecting matterswithinthe spheresofthejurisdiction
described in the Table to Subsection 2, subject to certain provisions, and;
Whereas Section 5 of the Municipal Act, S.O 2001 c. 25 and amendments thereto
providesthata municipal power, including a municipality’s capacity, rights, powers and privileges under Section 8 shall be exercised by its council and by’by-Taw unless the municipality is specifically authorized to do otherwise, and
Whereasthe CounciloftheTownshipofSouth Frontenacdeems itexpedientto confirm its actions and proceedings;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE COUNCIL CORPORATION OF THE TOWNSHIP OF SOUTH FRONTENAC, HEREBY ENACTS AS FOLLOWS^
- Theall actionsand proceedings ofthe CounciloftheCorporation oftheTownship ofSouth Frontenac taken at its regular meeting held on September 21, 2021 be
confirmed as actions forwhichthe municipality hasthe capacity, rights, powers' and privileges of a natural person. 2.
That all actions and proceedings of the Council ofthe Corporation ofthe
TownshipofSouth Frontenac heldSeptember21,2021 beconfirmed asbeing
matterswithin the SPheres ofjurisdiction described in Subsection 2 of Section 11 ofthe Municipal Act, S.O. 2001, c.25 and amendments thereto. 3.
Jhat all actions and proceedings of the Council of the Corporation ofthe
Township ofSouth Frontenac taken at its regular meeting held on September 21,

resolution are herebysanctioned, ratified andconfirmed asthoughsetoutwithin
and forming part of this by-law. 4.
Execution by the Mayor and the Clerk of all Deeds, Instruments and other Documents necessary to give effect to any such Resolution, Motion or other
actionand the affixingofthe Corporate Sealto anysuch Deed, Instruments or other Documents is hereby authorized and confirmed.
