TOWNSHIP OF SOUTH FRONTENAC BY-LAW2022-10 A BY-LAW TO CONFIRM GENERALLYALL ACTIONS AND PROCEEDINGS OF THE COUNCILOF THE CORPORATIONOF THE TOWNSHIPOF SOUTH fRONTENAC ON JANUARY 25, 2022 Whereas Section 8 of the Municipal Act, S. O. 2001 c. 25 and amendments thereto
provides thata municipality hasthe capacity, rights powers and privileges ofa natural person forthe purpose ofexercising its authority underthe Municipal Actof any other
Act; and;
Whereas Subsection 2 of Section 11 ofthe Municipal Act S.0. 2001, c. 25 and
amendments thereto provides thata lower-tier municipality and an upper-tier municipality maypass by-laws respecting matters withinthe spheres ofthejurisdiction
described in the Table to Subsection 2, subject to certain provisions, and;
Whereas Section 5 ofthe MunicipalAct, S.O 2001 c. 25 and amendments thereto
provides that a municipal power, including a municipality’s capacity, rights, powers and privileges underSection 8 shall beexercised by its council and b/by-fawunless the municipality is specifically authorized to do otherwise, and
Whereas the Council ofthe Township of South Frontenac deems it expedient to confirm its actions and proceedings;
NOWTHEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE COUNCIL CORPORATION OF THE TOWNSHIPOFSOUTH FRONTENAC, HEREBYENACTSAS FOLLOWS:

The all actions and proceedings ofthe Council ofthe Corporation ofthe Township ofSouth Frontenac taken at its regular meeting held on January25, 2022 be confirmed as actions forwhich the municipality has the capacity, rights, powers and privileges of a natural person.
That all actions and proceedings ofthe Council ofthe Corporation ofthe Township of South Frontenac held January 25, 2022 be confirmed as being
matters within the spheres ofjurisdiction described in Subsection 2 of Section 11 of the Municipal Act, S.O. 2001, c. 25 and amendments thereto.
That all actions and proceedings ofthe Council ofthe Corporation ofthe
TownshipofSouth Frontenactaken at its regularmeeting held onJanuary25, 2022exceptthosetaken byby-lawandthose required bybylawto bedoneby
resolution are hereby sanctioned, ratified and confirmed asthough set out within
and forming part of this by-law.
Execution bythe Mayor and the Clerk of all Deeds, Instruments and other Documents necessary to give effect to any such Resolution, Motion or other action andthe afRxingofthe Corporate Sealto any such Deed, Instruments or other Documents is hereby authorized and confirmed.
