Central Frontenac still hasn't posted its full 2026 budget. Its own mayor ordered the draft public by November 28.

Mayor Frances Smith ordered the draft 2026 budget public by November 28, 2025. The Township's budget page still shows one net figure per department. Both candidates for mayor voted for the amended budget. NFNM asks the Township, and both of them, to post the full budget before voting opens Monday.

It took a request, a fee, and a password to see a public meeting

NFNM asked South Frontenac for the video of three of its own council meetings. The Township released them — but only after a freedom-of-information request, a $5 fee, and a password. And the files don't even show the council. The paperwork about the meetings is public. The meetings aren't.
